Individual Counseling

Individual counseling sessions last about 50 minutes. Within that time, we balance processing current events/challenges, learning about new coping skills/ thinking traps/ communication styles, and often have some type of creative intervention to strengthen self-awareness, mindfulness, creativity, etc.   Please note that we are not accepting new individual clients at this time. Fill out the waitlist form below if you hope to be notified when that changes!

When seeing a teenager, including the family can often make a massive difference in how impactful and helpful the counseling is for them. I aim to do a parenting and/or family session at least once a month for all of my adolescent clients. Within these parenting sessions, parents and I have a chance to dig deeper into challenges at home, collaborate on problem solving, and share more details about skills being worked on in session. Typically, we begin focusing on the teen individually in their sessions, and focus on family support in separate parenting sessions. Once the everyone feels ready, we then start to integrate family art therapy sessions into treatment, aimed at improving communication, strenthening relationships, and increasing understanding- on both sides,

Teens and young adults that get the most out of my services are often those that feel misunderstood- by their parents, peers, or even themselves. Specifically- I specialize in helping teens with ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, and OCD. As an adult with ADHD, I have a special understanding of the challenges that come with neurodivergence- as well as the clinical knowledge regarding what works and what does not! I also have extensive experience supporting those who identify as LGBTQIA+. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT),Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) while treating my teens. I spent a part of my career developing and implementing programming at an Adolescent Residential Treatment facility- and becuase of that background have found my services to be a great fit for teens stepping down from these higher levels of treatment- who have benefited from the structure of CBT/DBT, and are ready to dive deeper into more personal and interpersonal issues.

I am in-network with Aetna and Optum Health Insurance/United companies (see full list below)- and rates will vary based on your plan. Private Pay/Out-of-network is an option for individuals that do not have either one of those health insurance plans. I provide super-bills (receipts with extra information you can send directly to your insurance companies for out of network reimbursement) to all individuals who need them. I use Alma as my billing platform- linked below, and you can put your insurance information into their platform and they will work with you and your provider to provide your specific coverage and fees. For private-pay clients- intake sessions are $175, and individual sessions are $155. Parent + family sessions are billed at the same hourly rate of individual sessions. I reserve a few slots a week for sliding-scale rates based on income, please do not hesitate to reach out and inquire.
